He returned to his Galician Romanesque roots, an aesthetic already deeply influenced by Expressionism and primitive art, but with a renewed approach that prioritized drawing and geometric forms.

During his White Period, Patiño abandoned traditional perspectives and focused on synthetic expressiveness, using thick lines in white and gray tones that evoke a sense of purity and fragility. These simplified and schematic human figures became a representation of the human condition: complex, yet essential and direct.
