The Woman | Gregorio Sabillón

Gregorio Sabillón (Chamelecón, Honduras, 1945) trained at the National School of Fine Arts
Arts of Tegucigalpa, graduating as a teacher and consolidating a technical mastery
exceptional. Since his first solo exhibition in 1964, he has developed an exceptional career.
This intense period led him to exhibit in Honduras and Spain, where his work was critically acclaimed for its impeccable drawing and refined treatment of classical realism. His hyperrealistically precise paintings incorporate surrealist elements in the construction of figures, especially in the transformation of faces, creating atmospheres of unease.

In La Femme, Sabillón provides the serious and necessary counterpoint: images that evoke fragility and permanence, feminine beauty dialogues with the inevitable passage of time, and with memory.
