Pilar Alegría y Pablo Serrano - Gaudifond

Pilar Alegría and Pablo Serrano

Last week, an etching by the Aragonese sculptor Pablo Serrano, from the Gaudifond collection, was presented to the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegría, at the Sancho Printing House in the city of Borja. Of the work, titled Unidad Yunta 1 (Yunta Unit 1 ), only 150 copies exist worldwide, signed and numbered by hand by the artist.

Let us remember that Pablo Serrano, a finalist at the Venice Biennale after Giacometti, was the only Spanish artist, along with Picasso, to have exhibited during his lifetime at the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg. Recipient of countless awards and a member of the El Paso group alongside Saura, Viola , Canogar, and Millares, Pablo Serrano is considered one of the most important sculptors in history. His work is present in major collections and museums worldwide, such as the MoMA in New York and the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris, as well as in several public buildings in Spain and Latin America.
