That year, and until his death in 2004, he taught and collaborated as coordinator of the painting workshop at the Villacarlos Municipal Athenaeum. Emulating Magritte, known for his ingenious and provocative
Through his images, Calvet aimed to change the preconditioned perception of reality and force the observer to become hypersensitive to their surroundings. In 2000, Calvet promoted and organized a poetry recital that now bears his name. He illustrated the books Abissínia by Ponç Pons and Las dudas del viento by José Luís Clemente. In 2002, Porta d'Eos, a sculpture by Calvet located on the Calasfonts dock in Villacarlos, was inaugurated, replacing an earlier sculpture of his entitled Mirall Solar.
