Jaume Perich Escala, known as El Perich, was one of the key figures in graphic humor and political satire in Spain during the 20th century. A writer, cartoonist, and translator of iconic Franco-Belgian comics such as Astérix, Blueberry, and Achille Talon, he was part of the creative core that revolutionized satirical press during the Spanish Transition.

A founding member of the legendary magazine Hermano Lobo and co-director of Por Favor alongside Manuel Vázquez Montalbán and Forges, he collaborated with media outlets such as La Vanguardia, El Periódico, Interviú, and El Jueves. His work combines acidic humor, political critique, and a clear-sighted view of contemporary society.
