Emilio Gastón ┃ Contemporary Sculpture

Emilio Gastón was a lawyer, writer, poet, and the first Justice of Aragon in the democratic era. A leading figure in Aragonese poetry, from 1987 onwards he developed an extensive sculptural body of work in iron where he transferred his literary universe into matter, creating pieces of great symbolic weight inspired by nature, poetry, and everyday life. His language combines lightness, emotion, and visual narrative, highly valued by collectors of contemporary Spanish sculpture.

Father of the artist Elena Gastón, he maintained a close friendship with the sculptor Pablo Serrano and championed key figures in Aragonese sculpture such as Pablo Gargallo and Honorio García Condoy.
