Collection: Felipe Cossío del Pomar ┃ Still Life Work

Felipe Cossío del Pomar (1888–1981) was a painter, writer, researcher, and a key intellectual figure of the 20th century. His international career led him to reside in cities such as Florence, Paris, Mexico, Lima, Brussels, and the United States, where he developed an artistic body of work profoundly influenced by European avant-garde movements.

He maintained relationships with figures such as Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, and Gauguin, and collaborated with André Breton's and Louis Aragon's surrealist circle. His pictorial production spans portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, with a language that combines classical tradition and modern sensibility.

Today, he is considered one of the most fascinating and cosmopolitan Latin American artists of the 20th century, with works in international public and private collections.
