Collection: Juan José Montans ┃ Contemporary surrealist painting

Juan José Montans is a contemporary surrealist and figurative painter, recognized for a consolidated international career from a very early age. At only seventeen, he held his first solo exhibition, and by eighteen, he had already presented his work in a museum, beginning an exceptional career in contemporary art.

Trained with masters such as Joseph Hirsch, Mario Cooper, and John Pike, he developed his own pictorial language based on surrealist figuration, visual narrative, and symbolism, with special attention to still life and the human figure.

Throughout his career, he has received more than twenty international awards and has exhibited in numerous countries in Europe, America, and Asia. His work is part of collections in Germany, France, the United States, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, and other key centers of international contemporary art. His painting combines academic technique, surrealist imagination, and strong narrative construction, placing him within contemporary figurative art with global reach.
