Kouji Ochiai (Nagasaki, 1948) is a contemporary Japanese printmaker and painter whose work falls within the tradition of Japanese printmaking reinterpreted through a modern and abstract language. His artistic output transforms landscapes, everyday scenes, and mythological elements into informal compositions, where water and wind become recurring symbolic axes.

Throughout his extensive career, he has exhibited in countries such as Switzerland, France, Italy, and the United States, establishing an international presence within contemporary Japanese graphic art.
