Critic Armando Soriano Badani commented:

“His simple painting without major
Attention to detail is developed in figurative themes of
allegorical inspiration. His figures, within a realism that does not aspire to literal likeness, are mixed with elements of primitivist and naive conception that forge interesting contrasts in the
composition.” The artist said in 1994: “For me, the important thing about my painting is that it’s clear it belongs to this era and not another. I wonder if it’s still possible today to create something interesting from direct observation of nature.”
