Collection: Sento Masiá ┃ Erotic painting and contemporary surrealism

The artist Sento Masià (Alcoi, 1940 – Barcelona, 2020) was a painter, engraver, and filmmaker whose work spanned surrealism, expressionism, and artistic experimentation. Known for his erotic and provocative imagery, he explored the human body with great realism, incorporating symbolic and surrealist elements, in an artistic proposal linked to the context of sexual liberation in post-Franco Spain.

In 1965, he co-founded the Alcoiart artistic experimentation group with Antoni Miró, Alexandre, and Vidal Vidal. His career included over forty exhibitions and a body of work characterized by social commitment, humanistic critique, and technical research in painting and engraving.
