Pueblo Bello, Colombia, 1954. At the age of fourteen, Willy Ramos emigrated to Valencia, Spain, where, in 1974, he graduated from the San Carlos School of Fine Arts. He completed his studies with a course at the School of Contemporary Mural Painting in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, and with a course in engraving and lithography at the State Institute of Art in Urbino, Italy. In 1986, he began teaching at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, from which he earned a PhD in Fine Arts with honors.
Among the most prestigious venues where Willy Ramos has exhibited are international art fairs such as ARCO, ARTBO, Art Toronto, Pinta London, Art Miami, Art Madrid, Toulouse, Marbella, Milan, and Parma, among others. He has also participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his works are held in museums in various countries.
