In Hiroshima 8, Agustín Alamán develops a composition of great expressive intensity where the figure emerges fragmented between layers of matter, glazes, and luminous contrasts. The work articulates a visceral pictorial language, in which dark tones and bursts of red construct an unsettling and deeply emotional atmosphere. The almost totemic frontality of the face coexists with a sense of wear and decomposition that refers to memory, wounds, and the persistence of trauma. Through a gestural and materially dense painting, Alamán places the viewer before an image charged with symbolic tension and contemporary power.
