Oil on canvas. 1975

Dimensions: 73 x 100 cm.

Angelina de la Quintana (Montevideo, 1935) is an artist trained at the Taller Torres García, where she worked under the influence of José Gurvich and Julio Alpuy. Since 1978, she has resided in Vienna, where she continues to develop her artistic and teaching work. Her work, with constructivist roots, has evolved towards a more free and symbolic painting, in which she explores themes such as migration, memory, and human movement, through meditative compositions and a sober and poetic palette.

She has participated in individual and collective exhibitions in Uruguay, Spain, Austria, France, Japan, and Peru, and her works are part of private and municipal collections in Montevideo, Barcelona, and Vienna. She also created concrete murals for Uruguayan schools, such as the Liceo Pando and the Evaristo Ciganda School.
