Antoni Miró - Folded Dollar
Antoni Miró - Folded Dollar
Oil on canvas.

Dimensions: 50 x 50 cm.
Folded Dollar is a work by Antoni Miró that uses one of the most recognizable symbols of global economic power to raise a critical reflection on capitalism, wealth accumulation, and contemporary inequalities. Through the transformed representation of the banknote, the artist decontextualizes an icon of the financial system to turn it into an element of political and social questioning. As in many of his works, Miró uses an image of great visual impact to invite the viewer to reflect on the influence of money on power relations and on the construction of contemporary reality.
