The Satraps is a work by Antoni Miró that articulates a forceful critique of the political, economic, and military elites who wield power from positions of privilege. Through a complex superposition of images, texts, and symbols, Miró constructs a visual narrative where violence, repression, and inequality appear as consequences of persistent structures of domination. The presence of armed figures and references to institutional power intensifies the work's denunciatory character, inviting the viewer to reflect on abuses of authority and the fragility of collective rights. As in much of his production, the aesthetic dimension is placed at the service of a profound social and political conscience.
