The painter Antonio Collado (Balaguer, Lleida, 1956) presented his first exhibition in 1973 at the Chamber of Commerce Gallery in his hometown, marking the beginning of a consistent and acclaimed artistic career both in Spain and abroad. A self-taught artist, his work has evolved from early figuration to a profound exploration of informalism, culminating in expressive abstraction, where color, material, and gesture take center stage. Since 1988, he has expanded his artistic language by incorporating sculpture, printmaking, and lithography, maintaining a coherent investigation into form and texture. His work has received numerous awards and is part of prominent public and private collections.
