In Serie Nueva VIII, Carlos Ferreyra explores organic abstraction constructed through glazes, textures, and superimposed forms that seem to slowly emerge from the canvas surface. The composition, dominated by a palette of ochres, greens, and blacks, suggests a mineral landscape or an archaeological memory where matter takes center stage. Far from geometric abstraction, the work invites a leisurely contemplation, revealing new relationships between color, gesture, and space with each gaze. This painting belongs to the artist's abstract research period, in which he developed his own plastic language based on the power of matter and evocation, before focusing much of his production on the human figure and Latin American archetypes.
