By combining anonymous crowds, film sequences, urban landscapes, and isolated faces, Helga Krebs constructs a narrative about the influence of mass media, institutional education, and mass culture in the construction of identity. The fragmentation of the image and the pop art and political collage-inspired language transform the work into a sharp observation on the relationship between the individual, information, and power.
