Pablo Serrano (1908–1985), one of the great sculptors of contemporary Spanish art and winner of the National Fine Arts Award, develops one of his most symbolic and human series in Barra de Pan.
Bread is a fundamental element in his work, understood as a symbol of unity, love, and solidarity, as well as a metaphor for communication and the need to share. This idea becomes one of the central axes of his artistic production, especially in his final stage.
In this etching, Serrano translates his sculptural reflection into graphic language, representing bread not only as an object but as a symbolic structure of encounter between human beings. The work belongs to the conceptual universe of his series Unidad-Yunta and El pan, where forms are fragmented and united as an expression of the human condition.
The result is a piece of great poetic and conceptual depth, where the everyday is transformed into a universal symbol.
At Gaudifond, you can acquire original graphic work by Pablo Serrano, ideal for collectors of contemporary prints with historical and emotional value.
