Marcos Irizarry (Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, 1936 – Madrid, 1995) was a prominent printmaker and lyrical abstract artist, trained in Puerto Rico and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. His work combines technical rigor and poetic sensibility, exploring the relationship between form, texture, and light. His work is represented in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, and he is a key figure in contemporary Puerto Rican art.
