Collection: Modest Cuixart ┃ Surrealist Work
Modest Cuixart was one of the great names of the Spanish artistic avant-garde of the 20th century and a founding member of the influential group Dau al Set, alongside figures such as Tàpies and Tharrats. Initially, he was influenced by Miró and Klee, later evolving towards an abstract and informalist language of great material and expressive force.
His deeply experimental and symbolic work has been exhibited in prestigious international museums such as the Guggenheim in New York and the Tate Gallery in London. Throughout his career, he received numerous awards and recognitions that solidified his position in European contemporary art.
