Collection: Antoni Miró ┃ Contemporary work

Antoni Miró (Alcoi, 1944) is a Spanish painter, sculptor, engraver and visual artist whose work stands out for its social commitment, its critical gaze and a style that moves between social realism, pop-art and neo-figurativism.
He practices a critical social realism, with works that denounce human suffering and social injustices through accessible and powerful iconography. His first notable series were L'Home (1968) and Amèrica Negra , where he combined pop art and sociopolitical critique. In the 1970s, he explored themes such as currency, peace, and social struggle, with pieces like One Dollar (1975), L'espera , Vencerem , and Lluita d'infants . In the 1990s, his series of erotic outdoor sculptures inspired by Greek pottery, visible in the Valencia Marina, generated public debate.
